Pictures of bed bugs

Bed bugs start off very small (less than 1 mm) and almost clear. As the bed bug grows it gains a amber color. When it grows to its adult size (3 cm or 1/4 in) it is a dark brown or reddish brown color. Bed bugs are oval shaped when you look at them from above. They are almost as thin as paper when you look at them from the side (unless they have just fed).
